Position Title : Archive Assistant Location : Phoenix, AZ (100% Onsite - Local candidates only) Clearance Requirements : None Position Status : Contract (7-8 months, likely extension) Pay Rate : $18 Position Description A public sector client in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a detail-oriented Archive Assistant to join their Records Management Center . This position plays a critical role in maintaining compliance with HIPAA, AHCCCS, and federal / state retention regulations (CFR, A.R.S., A.A.C.) by organizing, digitizing, and maintaining physical and electronic member medical records. The ideal candidate will thrive in a warehouse-style environment , work efficiently under minimal supervision, and demonstrate strong attention to detail. This role involves record digitization, quality control, data entry, and document lifecycle management to ensure all records are stored and maintained accurately and securely. Key Responsibilities Organize, box, and maintain large volumes of incoming records and materials. Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure data accuracy and compliance with retention standards. Digitize and scan records , ensuring high-quality and compliant digital files. Retrieve, re-file, and manage record requests according to established protocols. Assist in the secure destruction of physical records once retention requirements are met. Support the Records Supervisor with audits, inventory management, and special records-related projects. Perform general administrative duties, including data entry, filing, and operating standard office equipment. Required Skills & Qualifications Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or bend for 35-45% of the workday . Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) and basic computer operations. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations , confidentiality protocols, and secure record handling. Excellent organizational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications 1+ year of experience in records management, document processing, or data entry within a professional or government setting. Experience working in environments that require strict compliance with regulatory standards.
