Salary: [$35 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM; Overtime and weekends as needed
As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of ground support equipment.
Key ResponsibilitiesInspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in heavy equipment
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment to reduce downtime
Use diagnostic tools and service manuals to troubleshoot faults
Maintain accurate maintenance records and service logs
Conduct field service repairs as needed
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Communicate with supervisors regarding status of repairs and parts needs
Keep work area clean and organized
Hands-on experience as a heavy equipment mechanic
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions, and electrical systems
Ability to read schematics, service manuals, and technical bulletins
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in various outdoor conditions
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Welding and fabrication skills
Mobile field service experience
Knowledge of DOT regulations and inspections
