Description:

A.T. Still University (ATSU) is seeking a full-time, exempt Web Developer. This position reports to the Assistant Chief Information Technology Services. This position is remote with the potential to be based in Mesa, AZ or Kirksville, MO.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Support faculty, staff and students in the use of distance and web-based education tools.
• Design, build and maintain websites using Wordpress and the Google suite.
• Identify, document, analyze, develop, and maintain web-based applications.
• Create/edit HTML content.
• Determine and recommend optimal development of software tools and plugins.
• Liaison with vendors to install and troubleshoot third-party software.
• Ensure the safety of Student and Employee information and data in accordance with local, state and federal laws and guidelines.
• Design and implement training materials for online education tools.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Provide technical and design services, and maintenance relating to educational applications.
• Web site development using tools including Dreamweaver, Expression Engine, WordPress (or equivalent tools) and the Google suite.
• Strong understanding of writing and editing HTML, CSS, and responsive web design.
• Analyze, document, program, test, and maintain web-based content.
• Support and maintain database services associated with custom web applications.
• Working knowledge of Javascript, Databases, and Web Servers.
• Provide Tier II support for web-delivered content customers (both Wordpress and Google suite).
• Scheduled on-call duty evenings and weekends for LMS user support.

Education & Experience

• College Degree or Technical School.
• HTML/website design.
• Wordpress.
• Java Script.
• Google tool suite.
• The ability to visualize a project, then translate it into a working application.
• Communication and problem resolution skills.
• Full project lifecycle development.
• Understanding of LMS systems and their related tools.

• Must be a team player who can focus on multiple projects and maintain a balance between them.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to deal with people both in person and at a distance through the use of telephone and/or video conferencing.

• Must have excellent interpersonal skills. Must have a positive attitude.
• This person must be creative so that he/she can take an idea from concept to reality.
